Driver's Licenses
Butts County requires you to have a valid Georgia driver’s license or ID card with a Butts County address to process all transactions.

If you are moving to the county from out of county or state, you must update your driver’s license before coming to our office. The Georgia Department of Driver Services issues driver's licenses.

About Our Tax Commissioner

Nancy Washington was sworn in as the Butts County Tax Commissioner in March 2004, and was elected to her first full term on January 1, 2005.

Previously, Nancy had served the Tax Commissioner's office in the position of Deputy Tax Commissioner. Nancy has been with the Tax Commissioner's office since 1984 and is a member of the Georgia Association of Tax Officials, Constitutional Officers Association of Georgia, and the Tax Commissioners Technology Development Council.
